Terms of Service

Welcome to Purity Transcription (puritytranscription.ca). By accessing our website, uploading audio or video assets, or engaging our professional medical transcription services, you agree to be legally bound by the following Terms of Service.

1. Scope of Services & Human Guarantee

Purity Transcription provides specialized, 100% human-performed medical and pharmaceutical transcription services. We guarantee that zero artificial intelligence (AI) or automated speech-recognition tools are utilized in the drafting or processing of your files to ensure complete information security.

2. Client Responsibilities & Audio Quality

The client is solely responsible for providing audible, clear audio or video recordings. Purity Transcription reserves the right to reject files that are completely inaudible or corrupt. The client must ensure that all files uploaded to our secure platform do not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property or violate criminal laws.

3. Medical Accuracy & Limitation of Liability

Final Review Responsibility: While Purity Transcription maintains a rigorous internal quality control process aiming for 99% clinical accuracy, the final responsibility for the verification and clinical accuracy of all completed text rests solely with the client. * Limitation of Damages: Under no circumstances shall Purity Transcription, its officers, or its contractors be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including, without limitation, medical malpractice claims, misdiagnoses, loss of profits, or business interruptions) arising out of typographical errors, omissions, or delays in the delivery of transcribed documents. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the actual amount paid by the client for the specific project in question.

4. Financial Terms, Invoicing, & Late Payments

Rates: Services are billed based on the flat per-minute rates explicitly outlined on our pricing page or agreed upon via a formal custom quote.
Enterprise Invoicing: For verified corporate medical communications agencies and pharmaceutical clients, services are rendered on a Net-30 invoicing basis.
Late Payment Penalties: Invoices not paid within 30 days of issuance are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) on the outstanding balance. Purity Transcription reserves the absolute right to suspend all active workflows and withhold completed files if an account is more than 15 days past due.

5. Intellectual Property & Ownership

Upon receipt of full payment, all rights, titles, and intellectual property interests in the completed written transcript transfer entirely to the client. Purity Transcription retains no rights to your proprietary research, advisory board proceedings, or clinical documentation.

6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal actions or disputes arising from these terms must be resolved exclusively within the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

7. Termination of Engagement

Either party may terminate a project engagement at any time via written notice (email). Upon termination, the client will be invoiced immediately for all transcription work completed up to the exact timestamp of the termination notice.
